O colombiano Fernando Gaviria, da Quick-Step Floors, venceu mais uma etapa do Tour de France hoje de manhã quando conseguiu bater Peter Sagan e André Greipel no sprint em um final apertado, em que os três cruzaram a linha de chegada praticamente juntos. Greg Van Avermaet, da BMC, continuou com a camisa amarela de líder.
A etapa de hoje cobriu 195 km em terreno quase todo plano, e correu sem maiores percalços até faltarem cerca de cinco quilômetros para a linha de chegada, quando uma queda abalou o grupo e forçou Rigoberto Uran e Ilnur Zakarin a perseguirem o pelotão.
André Greipel atacou pouco tempo antes da bandeira vermelha (que marca o quilômetro final da prova), mas Fernando Gaviria conseguiu combatê-lo a tempo, com Sagan logo atrás. Rigoberto Uran chegou 0.35 segundo atrás de Gaviria, diminuindo o tempo de desvantagem e ficando na 10ª posição na classificação geral.
A etapa de amanhã é marcada pelas exigentes montanhas e um final em subida.
