A Adidas também entrou no mercado dos calçados para crossfit. Há muitos anos, a marca já produz as sapatilhas Adipower, para levantamento de peso, e Powerlift, para powerlifting. Agora, o novo tênis Crazy Power TR chega para brigar com o Reebok Nano, Nike Metcon, Inov8 e o NoBull, todos voltados para cross training.
Apenas a Reebok pode usar o nome CrossFit em seus produtos e na divulgação, já que tem um contrato válido até 2021 com a empresa americana CrossFit Inc..
No entanto, mesmo sem poder usar o termo, a Nike vem ganhando espaço nos boxes do Brasil e do mundo com o Metcon. Mais barato que o concorrente da Reebok, o tênis da Nike é usado por atletas como Sara Sigmundsdóttir, 3ª colocada nos dois últimos CrossFit Games, e Matthew Fraser, campeão de 2016.
O modelo da Adidas, o Crazy Power TR, já está à venda nas lojas estrangeiras por US$ 120 para entrega em janeiro. O valor é praticamente o mesmo preço do Nano e do Metcon.
O Crazy Power TR pesa 270 gramas, tem uma proteção de tecido sintético para subir corda e um solado sem amortecimento para movimentos de levantamento de peso e outros, como o deadlift, que exigem essa característica do tênis.
